Women have a vital role to play in the future of their communities and their countries – long-term development cannot be successfully achieved without gender equality.

Women can and should be agents of change, not just the beneficiaries. Time and time again, it is the projects run by women for women that have been proven to be the most effective on the ground.

The Gender Rights & Equality Trust is developing a broad mix of initiatives, all with the end goal of enabling and encouraging women to be the driving force behind their own futures and those of their daughters and communities – initiatives designed to both raise awareness of the issues and offer the funding necessary to affect more change.
